Sending adverts through your twitter account - in other words asking users to exploit their mates for material gain.
Who, with even the most rudimentary knowledge of the post advertising world would think this is a good idea?
Or am i missing something?
As they currently have no revenue stream whatsover and have apparently burned $25m already it may be their master plan to recoup some of the investment. Didn't Facebook try and buy them for$500m last year?
ReplyDeletejonathan - I'm really sorry I missed this comment - crazy business model I agree - but I have to say since posting I'm beginning to understand why time strapped geeks love twitter - and why the data / api is useful - kills the conversation but I'm not so sure its going to go away as quickly as I thought!
